Normally today would be recipe day, but due to my lack of preperation I do not have one ready. So for today I thought I would go with this topic. I try to be very frugal with everything I do. Especially when it comes to grocery shopping. I spend a couple hours each week (before the girls get up) and scan the local ads and check for coupons. I also try to stick to a budget of around $50 a week for food. We typically do our grocery shopping once a month and spend around $150 and then budget another $50 for milk, etc.
Another area that we are working on being frugal is our electricity. There are so many times that lights are turned on in a room when they do not need to be. We are also taking this month to see how much we can save by not using the dishwasher. Last month it was used almost everyday. I don’t plan on never using it again, but at least not as much as we had been. We will have to see next month if it made a difference.
