Today was our youngest dd’s 13th birthday. So while she was gone out to lunch with her dad Sam and I worked on her cake. Here are some pictures.
We started with a regular 13×9 cake.
I then measured and cut out a pattern.
Here I did a little trimming.
Now for the frosting.
Here we have the finished product. I love making different kinds of cakes.
Here is the birthday girl.
And finally, here is what all of the project fuss has been about. We have been working on a pen for this little beauty. She is a two year old Tennessee Walker and the girls have named her Sonjador “Dreamer”. Sonja was given to the girls from a man who trained another horse for us. Sonja was basically discarded by previous owners due to the fact that she was born with a crooked nose. Therefore she was not good enough for them to show. So she ended up with the trainer and he saw how much the girls loved her and he gave her to them. But she has actually taken up with dh more than anyone else.
Here is a little better photo of her face. The girls plan on working with her and putting her in a few local shows. We think she is beautiful and just the way God intended for her to be. Special.
Here is Ashley riding. Notice the handsome man is in this photo as well.
And here is Sam. Once again there is that man. Since he likes to be with us so much, I guess I will just keep him. 🙂
And there you have it.
