I had a little time tonight while DH is at the shop with the van fixing a few things before he leaves on Sunday, so I wanted to do a quick post to let you know what we have been up too.
Christmas was ok. I normally don’t do very well with Christmas anyway as it is such a sad holiday for me and this year was no exception. It was just a strong reality that the end of the year was in sight and we were getting ever so close to DH leaving. I cried most of the day that day and I wasn’t the most pleasant person to be around either. My mom and dad and my brother and his girlfriend came out for a visit and that was nice.
The day after Christmas we went out and did a little shopping, well as much as we could stand anyway. I got the cutest apron at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I will post a picture of it later.
Then we arrived at the new year. I took it better than I thought. I keep telling myself that I won’t let this get me down. I will be strong for my family. But internet, it is just so very hard.
We are officially down to our last few days. DH will be leaving on Sunday the 11th. Two days later than we originally thought. We are beginning to make last minute preparations and DH has started packing a few things.
If you read this, please keep us in your prayers this Sunday. I normally don’t do well at the actual separation.
It is wonderful to hear from you but I’m so sorry that it’s been such a difficult time. I will pray for you this weekend. And please email or call if you would like to talk. ((((hugs))))
I’m sorry that the time has just slipped away. I was actually wanting 2008 to end quickly and I’m sure you were wanting it to go as slowly as possible. I’ll be keeping you in my prayers this week, especially on Sunday, as well as through the year.

We’ve been praying for you all week. You and Gregg and the girls have been on our mind. The children have written letters and we are preparing to send them along with pictures we had developed from the camera we got at the free swap. I think you will enjoy.
