Today I was awaken by the sound of Sam saying, “Oh no!” She came running into my room and said, “We should already be gone.” Gone to the eye doctor that is. Yes, I overslept. I know that is hard for a person to do, so you could imagine my suprise when I found out what I had done. I have never gotten dressed and out the door so fast in my life. Needless to say we made it on time. Afterwards we went to Wal-Mart to get her glasses. I let her pick out her glasses this time without any input from me. She picked out black frames with orange on the inside. I have to say that they look cute on her. We ordered transition lenses so she won’t get them for a few days. She looked so grown up in them. That is so not fair. If I would have been able to pick out her glasses I would have picked out something like Dora the Exlplorer. Somehow I don’t think she would have thought that was too funny.
I bought paint stripper today and stripped down the vanity in the bathroom. What a job that was. Then I caulked around some areas of the tub. This bathroom project has been going very slow, but that’s fine with me. Normally I want things done and done fast, but this time I am ok with just doing it a little at a time. As long as something is always being done.
I am also trying to make up a menu for the next couple of weeks. We were doing good up until dh went on vacation. I haven’t been able to get back on track yet. Time to get out the cookbooks and start making a list. I guess that would be my cue to get up and start dinner since dh just called and he is on his way home.

I hate it when I oversleep when I’m supposed to be somewhere. Of course I also hate it when I wake up super early for no reason at all and can’t get back to sleep.
Glad you made the appointment and that your dd is happy w/her new glasses.
It’s hardest on mom when the kids grow up.
I would love to have transition lenses.
Our bathroom needs some attention….sigh…some major attention.
